The Ethical Experience
The owners of Croydon Hall operate an ethical business policy. We try hard to lessen the impact of the activities at Croydon Hall on the environment. We recycle most waste products and operate our own ecological sewage treatment plant. We do not serve meat and fish products and we buy local products whenever possible. All the honey, eggs and some of the vegetables used at Croydon Hall are from the local area.
We use local tradesmen and encourage them to be aware of the environment while working with us. We encourage our staff and our guests to save energy and water. We try to maintain an atmosphere of calm tranquillity at Croydon Hall which suits many visitors – there are therefore no TVs in the rooms. Guests with disabilities are provided for as much as our old buildings allow and our staff are asked to be aware of disabled guests’ special requirements. Wheelchair access is available to the ground floor public rooms and one ground floor guest bedroom with a special shower and toilet.
